Founded by Sarah Chilson, The Spot is a local Canandaigua charity, who’s mission is to create a community in which every child has what they need to succeed in school regardless of their ability to pay. The charity provides school supplies, clothing, shoes, personal care items and food support to children in need. Uber Lawns & Landscape believes in the importance of a child’s education and we are therefore proud to be able to donate 5% of all revenue to The Spot. “Sam Viggiani, Uber Lawns & Landscape’s founder and owner, has always enjoyed working with children and for a long time was even planning on being a child life specialist, someone who works with children in hospitals. When Viggiani was made aware of The Spot, it felt like a natural partnership and he was eager to find a way to support their mission. The Spot is a non profit organization that provides free food support, school supplies, clothing, shoes, and personal care items to local children via resource rooms in the Canandaigua School District. Sarah Chilson, Executive Director at The Spot, said she “feels this partnership is a gift, as it comes at a time when many small businesses are struggling. The need has been tremendous these last several months. We have received a record number of requests for help and though we rely heavily on local community support we also know many of our partners are facing challenges of their own. It is particularly telling that Sam stepped up to help during this time and we are incredibly grateful for his generosity and kindness.” Like The Spot, Uber Lawns & Landscape believes that every child deserves whatever resources they need to succeed regardless of their ability to pay. Uber Lawns & Landscape has committed to donating a percentage of their revenue to The Spot this Fall and into the 2021 season.
